Trowel Applied Machinable Repair Compound
A trowelable, machinable grade composite repair compound formulated with stainless steel for maximum durability and performance. Protects surfaces exposed to temperatures up to 400ºF(204ºC). As a corrosion resistant coating MetalTec 6000 offers excellent protection against a wide variety of chemicals – organic and inorganic acids, caustics, oils, solvents and detergents. Although proper surface preparation is very important, MetalTec 6000 is very surface tolerant of oil imbedded surfaces. MetalTec 6000 is non-shrinking and cures to use in about 4 hours, at which time it can be drilled, tapped or machined with conventional cutting tools. An excellent choice for rebuilding shafts, bearing housings, keyways, as well as mismachined parts that must be brought back to original dimensions.
