Argon below its boiling point, -186°C (–302.3″F), is in the liquid state. In the liquid state, 4.0 L (1.06 gallons) of argon is equivalent to 25 m3 (890 ft?) of gas at 21°C (70°F) and 101.4 kPa (14.7 psia). Argon is more convenient to handle and store in its liquid state and is used extensively in welding and other industries because it is inert.
