A device by which alternating current produced in a generator is changed into direct current. A series of bars or segments connected to armature coils of a dynamo so that rotation of the armature, in conjunction with fixed brushes, will result in unidirectional current output in the case of a generator, and in the reversal of the current into the coils in the case of a motor.
